Paycul Account Deletion Policy

Effective Date: July, 2026

1. Overview

At Paycul, we respect your right to control your personal data. If you no longer wish to use our platform, you may request the deletion of your Paycul account at any time.

To protect users, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations, account deletion is not immediate.

2. How to Request Account Deletion

You can request to delete your account by:

  • Clicking on Profile Icon > Settings > Account > Delete Account within the Paycul app dashboard; or
  • Contacting Paycul Support.

Once your request is confirmed, your account will be scheduled for deletion.

3. 90-Day Deletion Period

After your deletion request is submitted:

  • Your account will enter a 90-day deletion period.
  • During this period, your account will be disabled and unavailable for normal use.
  • At the end of the 90 days, your account and associated personal information will be permanently deleted from our active systems, except where we are legally required or permitted to retain certain information.

4. Cancelling Your Deletion Request

If you change your mind during the 90-day deletion period, you may contact Paycul Support to request cancellation of the deletion process.

Once the account has been permanently deleted, it cannot be recovered.

5. Data That May Be Retained

Even after your account is permanently deleted, Paycul may retain certain records where required by law or for legitimate business purposes, including but not limited to:

  • Transaction records
  • Financial and tax records
  • Fraud prevention records
  • Dispute and legal records
  • Security and audit logs

These records will only be retained for as long as necessary to comply with applicable laws, enforce our Terms of Service, resolve disputes, or protect the Paycul platform and its users.

6. Before Deleting Your Account

Before requesting account deletion, please ensure that:

  • Your wallet balance is ₦0.
  • You have no active escrow transactions.
  • You have no unresolved disputes or pending withdrawals.
  • You have saved any information you wish to keep.

If these conditions are not met, Paycul may delay or decline your deletion request until they are resolved.

7. Effect of Account Deletion

Once your account has been permanently deleted:

  • Your Paycul profile will be removed.
  • You will lose access to your account.
  • Your account cannot be restored.
  • You must create a new account if you wish to use Paycul again in the future.
